The brick walls hang with changing modern art à la Jackson Pollock. During the week, the DJ booth in the corner gathers dust, but come Saturday, it blares hip hop and retro tunes. A long bar dominates the front room, facing an equally long mirror, the better to flirt with on packed Friday and Saturday nights, when the heavy curtains at the entrance are guarded by heavy bouncers with their arms folded, though it’s more for appearance’s sake because eventually everyone gets in. Come for Monday’s karaoke night when – in the words of the 203 Spring staff – you’ll “laugh your ass off”. Thursdays draws a chill downtown crowd, while the Wall Street suits slide in on Fridays.
