In an obscure location next to offices and the Interstate loop around downtown, 3rd and Lindsley is nevertheless one of the best live music venues in town. An upstairs balcony makes it feel larger than it really is, and the sound is good enough that a local radio station has broadcast Sunday night shows from here for years. Expect an older, more serious crowd here than at other rock clubs in town, but it can change on a dime depending who is on the bill. The sight lines at 3rd & Lindsley aren’t the best when the place gets crowded, but better than average food and service keep the nerves from getting too frayed.
