Fatty Crab is chef Zak Pelaccio’s Meatpacking District homage to his time spent in Malaysia. It is a worthy companion to Zak’s other successes, Chickenbone Cafe and 5 Ninth. The menu is composed of small plates that are served when ready, and sharing and sampling many of the fantastic variety of dishes is encouraged. The plates explore the broad palette of Malaysian cuisine with dishes from pickled vegetables to fiery hot chili crab to sweet barbecued Malaysian chicken wings. These are full-throttled flavors that reveal a sensuous side.
