He patterned the conservatory after large domed haystacks dotting the 1908 midwestern countryside. Plant collections and flower displays are showcased in heavily landscaped naturalistic settings. The conservatory hosts a number of educational programs and family activities throughout the year. Guided tours are available. Admission is free.
