Some say that Geja’s Café is the most romantic restaurant in Chicago. It does offer low light, a Spanish/European atmosphere, secluded booths, and live flamenco and classical guitar. But, with its all-fondue format, it’s also just plain fun, and it draws groups of friends as well as couples. There is a cheese board on offer, but everything else is fondue, from the cheese fondue starter to the flaming chocolate fondue dessert. For dinner, all you have to decide is what you want to cook for your main course — perhaps the beef tenderloin and lobster combo, or maybe chicken breast with scallops or jumbo shrimp. Whatever you choose, it automatically gets you the cheese and chocolate fondues, as well as a salad. You can also get the chocolate or cheese fondues on their own, if you’re there for a late-night snack. An excellent wine list adds to Geja’s appeal.
