Enter the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, and it’s as if you’re transported to the heart of Italy. Watch street performers, or smile as you’re serenaded while walking down authentic cobblestone walkways. It’s easy to forget you’re not really in Venice (although the clean-smelling canal here is a welcome change from the real thing). For a romantic glimpse of Italy, hop on board a gondola and glide serenely down the canals. Scheduled shows of classically trained opera singers and Carnevale street performers give you an excuse to sit and rest.
