Inexpensive, generously portioned main courses reflect typical Italian-casual items – pastas, sandwiches, and parmagiana. Escape the sun on Vermont Avenue (but do browse the area; you won’t find the street’s eclectic selection of shops in any mall) in the dimly lit Palermo, where strings of Christmas lights hang year-round. Grab a booth and a Peroni beer, and prepare to take home leftovers.
