If Martha Stewart’s stint in the pokey didn’t put her to shame, Sarabeth’s homemade jam might do the trick. The craze has spawned four other locations around the city but the original is a New York staple. Breakfast is the shop’s specialty, with sinful baked goods and a renowned Eggs Benedict; but Sarabeth’s has easily mastered all three meals of the day, and some in between. New Yorkers love their brunch, so round up the kiddies and your _Times _and enjoy one of the best that the city has to offer. At suppertime the chicken pot pie and pot roast with mashed potatoes resembles the cooking from that Southern Junior League Mom that you never had.
