You might catch a screening of Steve McQueen’s Bullitt being projected onto the side of the skyscraper next door. Rooms at the Standard reflect everything modern design aspires to be: sparse, elegant, soothing and extremely livable. Rooms are bathed in subdued shades of gray, orange, yellow, and beige, and each piece of furniture looks as if it was plucked from a Danish designer’s private showroom.
